Ela comprou uma garrafa de sidra na loja da esquina
Ninguém a impediu, pois pensaram que fosse velha o bastante
Ela pegou um ônibus até um nome e endereço
Uma casa cheia de música e um balaio de maravilhas
E algumas pessoas, que ela pensou que conhecia,
Nunca se comportaram daquele modo
Quando as via na escola.
Ela nunca esteve num lugar como esse antes
Todos tão descontrolados
Ela estava num canto, cheio de aromas estranhos,
E sons e velas. Foi onde ele a encontrou
Ele a levou para um jardim cheio de chuva e silêncio
E ela podia sentir o cheiro da terra e das árvores
E ver a luz radiante das pequenas chamas
De seus olhos, soltando formas noite afora
Ela estava encantada...
Então, é meia-noite
E o último ônibus se foi.
Eles ficarão furiosos quando souberem o que ela fez
As alturas parecem rasas, menos é mais
Ela nunca sentiu nada parecido antes.
E então, o ontem chegou.
Ele diz, "Oh, à propósito, bem-vinda à sua primeira festa"...
