Wise old trees on a country lane
Grey road, leading me back to when
Young and long ago I let the trees explain
That life was spring

Shadow following on the ground
Do you know when did I turn around
Leaving everything all in the world
I'd found that life would bring

Weary footsteps where a child graced the way
Bowed her head which faced the sun
Like the leaves of golden brown, my hopes have tumbled down
My scattered dreams have gone

Is there someone who knows my name
Somewhere, something that looks the same
As in long ago, before
The changes came to everything
