Todo mundo imagina o que nós fazemos durante três horas enquanto aquela máquina fica apitando
Todo mundo sabe que nós bebemos café e que nós fofocamos e que nós, muitas vezes, tão incovenientes
Todo mundo sabe que nós brincamos de palavras cruzadas e sodoku e que nós conversamos com as enfermeiras
Mas você realmente pensa que isso é tudo que a gente faz?
Pois deixe-me falar pra você agora: isso não é verdade!
Poruqe nós, algumas vezes, olhamos o monitor
E outras em outras nós injetamos uma coisa branca
E se nós temos que intervir
Nós invetamos uma coisa braca benéfica
E algumas vezes ajustamos a luz
Outras levantamos a cama
Às vezes mexemos no rádio ou trocamos o CD
E, ocasionalmente, nós até olhamos o paciente
E se ele se mexe nós mudamos o vapor
E depois nós voltamos pra ler o jornal
Quando o paciente está durmindo
Nós só sentamos e escutamos o bip

Há algum tempo eu fiz orgulho o meu trabalho
E agora eu vejo que é hora de sair...
