Eu vi um demônio gritando bem atrás de mim.
Eu ouço a voz deles o tempo todo.
Eu acredito que os céus estão caindo
E me espanto; como pude ser tão cego?
Eu vi meus amigos morrendo bem a minha frente.
Eu vejo isso o tempo todo.
À minha volta há pessoas morrendo.
Com que tipo de arma devo lutar?
Pra todo lugar que olho só o que vejo é medo.
Não há lugar para fugir ou se esconder.
Talvez se fechasse meus olhos, eu poderia
Encontrar uma saída dentro demim.
E se um céu azul desabasse sobre minha pele
Dando-me uma razão para lutar?
Seria o suficiente para destruir todo o mal?
Deus sabe o tanto que eu tenho tentado
E agora um sol começa a brilhar sob minha pele
revelando um mundo que eu vinha negando.
Este é o mundo que nós havíamos perdido todos esses anos!
Eu pensei que pudesse vê-lo, mas estava completamente cego!
-------Então eu fui levado à entrada de um túnel que Parecia não ter fim.
Entrando lá dentro, comecei a ver todo o tipo de coisas,
o Bem o Mal e todas as tentações que uma vez
E sempre vêm atormentando minha mente.
Vi uma maravilhosa mulher me convidando para deitar-me com ela,
Vi meus amigos sofrendo e morrendo.
E eu queria ajudá-los...
Vi a Terra em toda sua beleza!
Vi tudo o que ela deveria ser, e no que se tornou.
Nessa hora, tive vontade de parar e chorar,
Mas algo dentro de mim me fez prosseguir.
Quase no fim do túnel, eu vi minha mãe,
Que pareceu muito distante.
Ela parecia chamar-me para os céus com alguns
parentes meus atrás dela; e como eu recusei em
ir com ela, ela transformou-se no mais
terrível demônio que nunca vi igual!
Alguns passos adiante, encontro o fim do túnel,
Em algum lugar fora do tempo e do espaço.
E então, vejo as infinitas faces de Deus!
Todas as minhas dúvidas e medos desapareceram;
E enquanto eu choro em êxtase, descubro:
Que não mais pertenço a este mundo.
The Last Battle

I saw a devil yelling right beside me.
I hear their voices all the time.
I believe the skies are falling
and wonder how I ever got this blind?
I saw my friends dying right in front of me.
I think about it all the time.
All around there're people dying.
With what kind of weapon should I fight?
Everywhere I look all I see is fear.
There's no way to escape or hide.
Maybe if I closed my eyes I could
find a safe place down inside.
And if a blue sky fell upon my skin
giving me a reason to fight?
Would it be enough to destroy all the evil?
Lord knows how much I have tried.
And now a sun starts to shine inside my skin
revealing a world that I've denied.
This is the world we have lost through all these years!
I thought I could see but I was completely blind!
---- Then I was taken to the entrance of a
tunnel that seemed to have no end.
Stepping into it, I began to see all sort
of things, good and evil and all the
temptations that once and always
have tormented my mind.
I saw wonderful women calling me to their
beds, saw my friends suffering and dying
And I wanted to help...
I saw Earth in all it's beauty!
Saw what it was created for and what it had become.
At this time, I wanted to stop and cry,
but something inside just made me go ahead.
Almost at the end of the tunnel,
I saw my mother, who passed away long before.
She seemed to call me to heaven
with some relatives of mine beside her;
and as I refused to go with her, she
transformed into the most terrible devil
that I've ever seen!
Some steps ahead, I met the end of the
tunnel, in somewhere out of space and time.
Then I saw the infinite faces of God!
All my doubts and fears had disappeared;
and as I cried in ecstasy, I discovered:
I no longer belong to this world
